Three ways to frame an overhead flyby

A raised hand gives the aircraft a sense of scale. Watch the movement, then use a starting prompt to create your own version.

The clips are visual references. The prompts below were written for this page and are not the original prompts used to create these examples.

Example video

Reach toward the sky

A woman in a light top and loose gray trousers turns and lifts both arms as a blue passenger jet passes overhead beside a pedestrian bridge.

View starting prompt

Create a cinematic airplane-flying-over-head video in a single continuous low-angle shot. If a portrait is attached, preserve the adult subject's face, hairstyle, clothing and proportions; otherwise use one adult in a light sleeveless top and loose gray trousers beside a pedestrian bridge. Leave most of the upper frame open to blue sky and thin clouds. The person turns slightly, looks up and raises both arms toward the sky. One blue passenger jet approaches from the distant upper-right sky, grows larger smoothly, passes above the person and camera, and exits through the upper-left edge. Keep the aircraft clearly separated from the person. Show a coherent fuselage, two wings and two engines throughout. Hold the camera steady with no cuts, orbit or sudden zoom. Keep hands natural and the background stable. If generated audio is supported, add a brief engine swell that fades after the flyover. No collision, second aircraft, distorted limbs, readable airline logos or captions.

Example video

White skirt on the deck

On a wooden deck, a woman in a dark sleeveless top and flowing white skirt extends one arm beneath a large jet against a clear blue sky.

View starting prompt

Create a photorealistic overhead airplane flyby from a fixed low camera angle beside a wooden observation deck. If a portrait is attached, keep the same adult person, face, hair and outfit; otherwise use one adult wearing a dark sleeveless top and a long flowing white skirt. Frame the person in the lower part of the image, with a wooden railing along the bottom and generous clear blue sky above. The person slowly extends one arm toward the approaching airplane, while the free arm rests naturally and the skirt moves gently in a breeze. One pale, unbranded passenger jet enters from the distant upper-right sky, passes overhead across the frame toward the upper left, and continues out of view. Keep the flight path continuous and the wings and engines stable. The person remains on the deck and never touches the aircraft. Use a single steady shot without panning, abrupt scale changes or cuts. If audio generation is available, add light wind and a passing jet sound. No extra people, duplicated aircraft, deformed fingers, text or logos.

Example video

One gesture beneath the wings

A person in a black cap, dark top and yellow shorts raises a hand beneath the belly of a passing jet, with railings and clouds behind them.

View starting prompt

Create a dramatic but playful airplane-flying-over-head scene with one adult at a wooden railing near a pedestrian bridge. Use an attached portrait to preserve the person's identity and outfit; without a reference, use an adult in a black cap, sunglasses, dark top and bright yellow shorts. From a fixed low camera position, keep the person near the lower-right part of the frame and fill the upper area with blue sky and soft clouds. The person looks up and holds one hand in a simple V gesture. A single passenger jet with landing gear down approaches diagonally from the upper-right distance, passes above the person and the camera, then exits toward the upper left. Keep a visible gap between the hand and aircraft. Maintain consistent wings, two engines, landing gear and body shape as the plane grows in perspective. One continuous shot, stable railing, no camera shake or zoom. If the model supports generated sound, use an engine swell and gentle outdoor ambience. No physical contact, crash, extra fingers, duplicate aircraft, readable logos or captions.

How to make an airplane flying over head AI video

  1. Choose your portrait

Use a clear photo with one adult and visible shoulders or upper body. For a raised-arm pose, include the hands. Select an image-capable video model before adding the photo, or begin with text alone.

  2. Set the flight path

Load a starting prompt and describe one plane entering, passing overhead and leaving. Match the clothes and pose to your photo, then simplify movements you do not need.

  3. Choose framing and length

Pick a model, supported aspect ratio, duration and resolution in the video controls. Choose a vertical format for a tall sky-filled shot when the model offers it.

  4. Generate and check the pass

Review the credit reservation before submitting. Play the full result to check the face, hands, aircraft shape and flight direction, then download the version you want to keep.

Make the plane feel big without losing the person

Leave space above the head

A photo with a low camera angle and uncluttered sky gives the flyover room. Keep the person below the middle of the frame. A tight face crop gives the model less guidance for the body and raised hands.

Give the plane one clear direction

Name the entry edge, the overhead pass and the exit edge. Ask for one continuous shot and one aircraft. If the plane changes shape or reverses direction, remove camera motion and shorten the action.

Choose the gesture before generating

Reaching with both arms, extending one arm and holding a simple hand gesture create different silhouettes. Pick one. Check that the fingers stay natural and the hand remains separate from the aircraft.

Airplane Flying Over Head AI Video FAQ

Photo choices, video settings and the details that make a flyover work.

What is an airplane flying over head AI video?

It is a generated visual effect in which a passenger jet appears to fly above a person, often seen from a low camera angle with a large open sky. This page pairs effect-specific prompts with the same video generator used across the site.

Can I create the effect from one photo?

Yes, with a video model that supports an image reference. Use a clear portrait or upper-body photo, and keep visible hands in the frame if the pose matters. The reference guides appearance but cannot guarantee an identical face or outfit. You can also start from a text description with a text-to-video model.

How do I get the plane to pass directly overhead?

Describe a low fixed camera, one aircraft, an entry point, an overhead pass and an exit point. Leave sky above the person and avoid combining the flyover with a camera orbit or several gestures. Prompt instructions guide the model; review the output for flight direction, aircraft shape and unwanted cuts.

Does the prompt choose the video length and aspect ratio?

No. Choose duration, aspect ratio and resolution in the generator controls. The available combinations depend on the selected model. A vertical format can give the aircraft more space above the person, but writing a format or duration in the prompt does not enable a setting the model does not support.

Can my video include the sound of a plane?

The example clips on this page are silent. To generate engine sound, choose a model that supports generated audio and enable the audio option if one is provided. Ask for an approaching engine swell followed by a fade. Some models produce silent video, and prompt text cannot add an unsupported audio feature.

Is the airplane flyover effect free?

You can view the examples and copy or edit prompts without signing in. Uploading a photo and generating a video require an account, and generation uses credits. The generator shows the reservation for your selected model and settings before submission. There is no fixed price for this effect.

Will these prompts reproduce the example videos exactly?

No. The clips illustrate the flyover effect, while the editable starting prompts are adaptations written for this page. They are not the original prompts behind the examples. Your photo, selected model and settings affect the face, motion, background and aircraft in the result.

Can I download the video for Reels, Shorts or TikTok?

Completed videos use the existing workspace preview and download controls. Choose a supported format for the platform you plan to use. Review the full clip, use photos you have permission to use, and follow the platform’s rules for labeling AI-generated content.
